It is an open secret that the world revolves around money. Money has the power that it will make people go beyond extreme limits. We have seen in the news how family members attack or kill others over property and money.

This is the story of siblings, who hail from a legendary family. The siblings are now fighting over the property that was earned by their late father. We are talking about legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan, who ruled the industry for over four decades. It's been around two decades since the veteran actor passed away. Now the siblings are fighting against each other.

The late actor has four children-two daughters Santhi Narayanasamy and Rajvi Govindarajan, and two sons Prabhu and Ramkumar(producers). The daughters have doubts that their brothers are manipulating the assets and taking the lion's share of assets.

As the properties Shivaji Ganeshan has left for his children now cost around Rs 270 crore, the daughters filed a case against the brothers in the Madras High Court.

As Prabhu and his brother Rajkumar are alleging that the properties were distributed based on the will their father Shivaji Ganeshan left, the daughters have their observations.

According to them, the will was fake and the brothers created the fake one to take hold of the assets. They filed the complaint saying that they have the right to get an equal share in their father's properties and their brothers are trying to stop them from getting the rights.

The disputes among the siblings have raised the debate on whether the Hindu Succession Act, which was drafted to see that children both male and female are entitled to an equal share in the properties. Earlier, daughters would not get any shares in properties.

To change the status quo, the Act was drafted back in 1956. However, there are a few complaints that the Act is not being followed by many and the daughters are kept away from enjoying their right to get an equal share in the properties.

The ongoing dispute in the Shivaji Ganeshan family has shed light on the topic yet again. Both sides are saying that they are right and we will get to know who is correct after the court gives its verdict.
