Update: 2018-04-04 13:58 GMT
Karnataka Assembly Polls are scheduled to happen on May 12th this year. While Congress is confident of retaining power after recommending separate religion status for Lingayats, BJP is desperate to come back to power at least this time.

Association Democratic Reforms (ADR), a non-profit organization, conducted a survey to find out which party have the winning chances in Karnataka. Siddharamaiah-led Congress Government managed to score 7 out 10 marks.

The survey was conducted from December 2017 to February 2018. Opinions of 13,244 individuals were collected from 225 Assembly Constituencies. Just alike YSR and Jayalalithaa, The welfare programmes introduced by Siddaramaiah has been appreciated by the Kannadigas. 'Anna Bhagya' Scheme (1 kg rice per Rs 1), Cycle Bhagya' (Free Cycles for Girls), 'Krushi Bhagya' for Farmers, 'Shaadi Bhagya' (Rs 50,000 for newly married Muslim Couple) and 'Anil Bhagya' (LPG Gas Connection) are given thumbs up by the people. Whereas, 'Indira Canteens' modeled after 'Amma Canteens' failed. Rs 2,000 crore 'Arogya Bhagya' scheme modeled after YSR's 'Arogya Shri' received terrific response.

Overall, Siddaramaiah managed to pass with a good score of 7 out of 10. Education (7.85), Power Supply (7.83), Transportation (7.61), Curbing Corruption (6.77), Essential Commodities for Subsidy Prices (7.35) and Employment Creation (6.70). If this survey is any indication, Congress would form government again by winning at least half of the 225 Assembly Seats.
