Indian killed in US just for Cigarettes

A Sikh Man has been stabbed to death outside a grocery store in California after he refused to sell cigarettes.

Jagjeet Singh has been staying in US for the past one-and-a-half year and he was living with his sister and brother-in-law. He used to work as a clerk at the Hatch Food and Gas convenience store. An altercation took place after Jagjeet Singh sought the ID Proof of the customer to sell Cigarettes.

Upon resorting to racial abuse, The Customer left the store warning Jagjeet Singh of dire consequences. He came back 30 minutes later and killed the Indian-origin Clerk. Mr.Singh passed away after battling for life for 9 hours in a hospital. The whole incident was captured in the CCTV Footage at the store.

A Colleague says, Jagjeet Singh is a nice guy and hard worker. He never misbehaved with any of the customers.
