Well-known singer and lyricist Pawandeep Singh Mohali aka Shree Brar landed in an unwanted controversy after the Patiala cops arrested him for allegedly glorifying the gun culture.

Going into detail, the singer has recently released a music video in which he is said to have reportedly glorified gun culture and promoting anti-social acts. The singer in the video reportedly promoted providing shelter to criminals.

According to the reports, Patiala's Senior Superintendent of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal addressed the media over the arrest of the singer and gave a reason behind the arrest.

The cops found fault with the lyrics that are provocative in nature which also promote violence and anti-social acts.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh came in support of the singer's arrest and said the decision was right to arrest a person who promotes the highly objectionable gun culture.

On the other hand, Youth Akali Dal (YAD) alleged that Shree Brar was arrested by the government as per the directions of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

YAD called the singer a supporter of farmers who has been staging protests near the Delhi border against the controversial agricultural bills which is why he was arrested by the government.

However, the YAD strictly condemned the glorification of the gun culture and questioned, when the other singers who did the same sort of things were roaming out freely why only Shree Brar was arrested?.
