Sitting Corporator Hoists, Waiting Corporator Removes National Flag

Update: 2021-01-27 04:50 GMT
While the whole country was fixated with the so called farmers going on the rampage at the Red Fort, another tragic-comic situation unfolded in Chandanagar. Bobba Navatha Reddy, the sitting corporator, unfurled the Tricolour at the Gandhi statue centre and left the place after the function.

It was then that the newly elected corporator Manjula Raghunath reddy came to the same venue along with her supporters. When she found the national flag already unveiled, she and her supporters grew wild. They removed the already hoisted flag and put up another flag. They hoisted the new flag and then left the place. The issue cropped up as Navatha Reddy is still the corporator as her term has not expired. Manjula is the newly elected corporator, but is yet to take oath of office.

Interestingly, both belong the ruling TRS, but the battle for supremacy has made them blind to the honour of the National flag. This has now become a hot topic of discussion in Chandanagar area of Hyderabad.
