The Ruling BJP faced a rude shock with a six-time Lok Sabha member from Gujarat, who once served as a Union minister announced that he has decided to resign from the party.
Going into detail, BJP MP Mansukh Vasava who represents the Bharuch Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat has written to BJP Gujarat chief C.R. Patil, over his decision to resign from the party.
"I have been loyal to the party. I have taken care of party's values. However, after all I am a human being. A man makes mistakes knowingly or unknowingly. I am resigning from the party so that my mistake may not cause damage to party" News Agency ANI quoted the MP in the letter.
In his letter, the MP said he will be grateful to the central leadership of the party and thanked the party leadership for giving him opportunities beyond his capacity.
He requested the party to forgive him for his decision to resign from the party. He will submit his resignation letter as MP to the honorable Lok Sabha speaker, during the upcoming budget session
It has to be noted that the MP has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to withdraw the notification issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change which declared 121 villages in Narmada district as eco-sensitive zone.
His decision to ensign from the party came, a week after he has written to Prime Minister, but he didn't receive any proper response from him. Reports claimed that he took the decision as there is no response from PM over the ece0sensitivevxzone.
