Earlier, they barged into the residence of the President and spent time there swimming in the pool and taking pictures inside the official residence of the President. The President of the nation is said to have left the nation.
As the situation went out of hand and there was chaos all over the nation, the Prime Minister is said to have taken note of the situation and issued key directives to the military forces and the police department to bring the situation under control.
Reports say that Sri Lanka prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe reportedly gave a free hand to the military and police forces and urged them to bring situations to normal and restore the peace in the nation. The Prime Minister reportedly directed them to take whatever it takes and bring back peace.
After violence broke out at various places, the Sri Lanka Prime Minister stepped in straight away and said that the protests cannot be allowed to turn violent and gave a free hand to the military in this regard.
