The Congress seniors, including some heavyweights, seem to be perturbed by the failure of the Congress High Command to respond to the internal crises. Despite Sachin Pilot giving enough warnings that he would rise in revolt against Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, the high command did nothing.
This has piqued senior leader Kapil Sibal to no end. He took to Twitter over this inaction and said he was worried for the Congress Party. "Will we wake up only when the horses have bolted?" he angrily asked over the Rajasthan imbroglio. In fact, there is a growing disenchantment in the Congress over the high command's inaction. Many feel that had the high command responded positively, Manipur's BJP government could have fallen now. It was only because of the central leadership's inaction that the rebels had rejoined the BJP-led alliance. Similar is the case in Goa and even Madhya Pradesh, where Kamal Nath lost out because the high command could not handle Jyotiraditya Scindia.
More and more Congress leaders are speaking up on the issue. Congress leader Vivek Tanka said that the party would get weakened because of such dissensions, while another leader Alka Lamba sad patience was very important on such occasions. Whatever the case, the leadership is now being questioned increasingly.
