Ganguly hits back at Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri's sharp criticism on Sourav Ganguly for being absent when he was interviewed for Team India's Head Coach job despite being a Cricket Advisory Committee member hasn't gone down well with Dada.

Ganguly expressed his surprise and sadness over Ravi Shastri's comments. The Left-Handed Cricketer clarified that he missed Ravi Shastri's interview as he was to attend CAB Working Committee meeting on the same day aspirants have given presentations for Coach job. He even dared to comment, 'Ravi Shastri is living in fool's world if he believes he wasn't appointed as Coach just because of him'.

Dada found Ravi Shastri's remarks very personal and he was angry about the fact that he suggested him not to give a miss to such crucial meetings. He claimed to have never given a miss to BCCI Meetings in the past.

At the same time, Ganguly found fault with Ravi Shastri for not being present physically for the interview session instead preferring vacation in Bangkok. 'He should have shown some maturity before going on air to make a personal attack,' says the former Indian Skipper.
