Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly responded on the rift between Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli. He opined the issue wasn't handled in a mature manner and hence such a situation arised.

Ganguly, who is one of the three members of Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) who have the authority to appoint a coach, said Kumble resigned at the last minute and it's his personal decision.

When quizzed about Ravi Shastri's applying for Head Coach job of Team India, Ganguly opined anybody can apply for the post and went on to say even he have the right to move the application if he isn't an Administrator.

Actually, Ravi Shastri was in race for Head Coach job last year as well. However, CAC preferred Anil Kumble instead of him. That's when Shastri lashed out at Ganguly saying he influenced other two committee members (Sachin, Laxman). In reply, Ganguly commented Shastri was living in fool's paradise.
