Amid Growing Mystery, Sourav Ganguly Responds To Rohit Sharma's Fitness!
Even after producing heroics with the bat against Delhi Capitals in the final match of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League(IPL), the mystery on Rohit Sharma's injury continues.
Amid growing mystery, former Indian skipper and Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) President Saurav Ganguly has stepped in and cleared the airs on Rohit Sharma's fitness.
Reports claimed that Saurav Ganguly in his recent interview with a leading daily reacted to Rohit's fitness and said he is not 100 percent fit and is only 70 percent fit which is why he was not named in the 32 members squad for the Australian tour.
Going by these reports, Rohit Sharma will undergo a fitness test at National Cricket Academy(NCA) in Bengaluru and will head to Australia after gaining complete fitness.
Quite surprisingly, wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha who also suffered a hamstring tear was picked in the squad and he has flown to Australia with other squad members.
Talking about Saha's injury Ganguly allegedly said, he will be fit by the time the Test series will start and he was not named for the other formats in the Aussies tour.
Rohit Sharma suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg during a league match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in October in the IPL. With this, he missed four matches, and Kieron Pollard led Mumbai Indians in Rohit's absence.
