South Africa Fined For Slow Over Rate

South Africa have been fined for a slow over-rate during their first one-day international against India in Kanpur. South African captain AB de Villiers was fined 40 % of his match fee for maintaining a slow over rate.South African cricketers also were fined 20% of their match fees.

As per ICC report the Saffari side were two overs short of its target when time allowances were taken into consideration. Match referee Chris Broad imposed the fine. AB devilliers had previously been found guilty of minor over-rate offences on two occasions in the past 12 months (

If he repeats same a one-match suspension will be imposed on him. South Africa beat India by five runs in the first ODI and the second match will be on Wednesday at Indore.
