SCS Continues To Be Top Priority For Jagan

Update: 2019-06-03 13:05 GMT
The dream of YS Jaganmohan Reddy to pressurise Central Government to accord Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh got shattered with the 2019 Lok Sabha Election results. YCP would have been in a position to demand Special Status to extend support to either NDA or UPA had if they both fell short of the magic figure. Much to the disappointment of Jagan, BJP achieved magic figure without even the support of its allies.

During his first press meet in Delhi after victory in 2019 Polls, YS Jagan made it clear that he would continue to seek Special Category Status for AP every time he meets Prime Minister even though Union Government don't have such a necessity. He now directed Officials to prepare detailed report on the financial position of Andhra Pradesh so that attempts can be made to convince 15th Finance Commission about the urgency for Special Category Status. He even directed Authorities to come up with proposals which could bail out the state from the financial crisis.

That shows Special Category Status continues to be the top priority of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He could have achieved it by now if the Lok Sabha Polls result matched his judgement. Nevertheless, Our Young CM won't be giving up the fight till he accomplishes the mission.
