Children who are below the age group of 11 are testing positive for the dreaded COVID-19 virus in Andhra Pradesh creating many concerns and fears about the pandemic. The Special Chief Secretary for Health of AP Dr. Jawahar Reddy spoke about this scary situation.
"We have got some COVID-19 cases who are below 11 yrs of age. That is a new trend, new disease, new infection, we are still trying to understand the nature of the infection. The line of treatment and protocol remains the same. We are following the advice by ICMR," Mr. Reddy said.

"The majority of cases recorded in Andhra Pradesh are linked to either foreign returnees or the Markaz returnees. There are very few cases that do not have a link to these," he added.
