The illicit liquor, which is also called Desi liquor is posing a great threat to the nation. The Spurious liquor consumption is very high in the northern states, compared to the southern states.
Days after Uttar Pradesh and the National capital Delhi reported incidents of illicit liquor, which claimed more than a dozen lives combined, one more incident took place.
Tension gripped Madhya Pradesh after 11 people lost their lives and eight victims fell seriously ill. All the victims are said to have consumed spurious liquor.
According to the media reports, the horrific incident took place in the Pahawali and Manpur villages of Morena district in the state. While four residents of Pahawali lost their lives, seven residents of Manpur died.
It has been widely reported that the preliminary investigation by the Morena police has found out that the villagers of the two villages consumed white colour liquor.
After consuming the white color liquor, 11 villages in two villages died and eight people have fallen seriously ill. They were immediately rushed to the Gwalior hospital for treatment.
The dead bodies of the 11 deceased have been sent to a state-run hospital for postmortem. The reports of the postmortem are awaited,w which will clear all the airs on whether they lost their lives due to poisonous liquor or not.
