Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Lagadapati's star batsman, met AK Antony Committee at the war room in New Delhi and strongly opposed the bifurcation. He explained the situation in Seemandhra after the July 30th announcement and the impact on Congress as the people have been treating the ruling party as the main culprit.

Kiran informed to the Committee that people of Seemandhra haven't been allowing Ministers and MLAs to enter their native district and many of the MLAs have be thinking of quitting the party if the division announcement is irreversible. He warned that Congress will be facing a lot of issues in future if the division happens.

After CM's meeting, Ministers, MLAs and MLCs from Seemandhra too met the AK Antony Committee. While some of them demanded the Centre to hold back the July 30th announcement, others asked to appoint Second SRC for solving Telangana issue. Few senior leaders like JC Diwakar Reddy made it clear that their first proposal will be too keep the state united and the centre is firm on dividing the state, Rayala Telangana will be their next choice.
