Steven Smith looking at the Australian Dressing Room for taking a call on DRS Referral after being adjudged LBW in the bowling of Umesh Yadav has stirred a huge controversy.
During the post-match press conference Steve Smith termed his act as a 'brain fade' and also wished something like that shouldn't have happened.
Australian Cricketer Peter Handscomb who was the non-striker when Smith was batting at the other end admits his fault. 'I referred smudga to look at the box... my fault and was unaware of the rule. Shouldn't take anything away from what was an amazing game!,' he wrote.
However, Virat Kohli opined it can't be Brain Fade as Australian Cricketers have been looking at the dressing room for DRS referrals throughout the second test match.
BCCI Twitter Handle placed the tweet: 'DRS - Dressing Room Review System' after Smith was caught red handed. Former Cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly alleged the incident involving Steve Smith is against the spirit of the game.
Australia Coach Darren Lehmann condemned the allegation of Kohli that his Team has been seeking DRS inputs from Dressing Room. Whereas, Cricket Australia CEO Sutherland termed the cheating allegations against Steve Smith and Australian Team 'outrageous'.
