Aamir Khan's recent blockbuster PK may have had a big start at the Box Office but it also had its share of controversies.PK has been getting mixed reactions from audiences for its content. Some people have slammed it, saying it mocks Hindu traditions.
Some of Bajrang Dal activists attacked prominent theatres in Ahmedabad alleging that it degrades the religion.Protests were also held in Bhopal city over the film and some screenings were halted.The groups accuse there are multiple scenes in the film which are extremely hurtful to Hindus and their religious sentiments. Sevaeral Hindu orgamizations demanding ban on the film and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has asked all Hindus to come together and protest against the movie, as he feels PK is anti-Hinduism.
Not only Hindus some of muslim organizations also unhappy with the film. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have sought ban and removal of scenes depicting Hindu religion in bad light.However censor board refused to remove a single scene from the film.Director Rajkumar Hirani's PK starring Aamir Khan, which released on December 19, has minted Rs 200 croes.
