TRS Party demanded separate Telangana High Court during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament. It was during the discussion over separate High Court, TDP MP Sujana Chowdary received a strong punch from Lok Sabha Speaker.
During the Zero Hour, TRS MP Jithendar Reddy reminded Law Minister about the statement he was supposed to make on the separate High Court for Telangana State. Union Minister Sujana Chowdary tried to interview when the Law Minister was responding to the demand from TRS. Lok Sabha speaker Sumithra Mahajan expressed her displeasure by saying, 'You are an Union Minister. Keep that in mind!'.
Sujana Chowdary who was taken aback by Speaker's jibe pointed out about the other promises of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. Home Minister Rajnath Singh advised Governments of Telugu States to resolve differences over AP Reorganisation Act 2014. He assured Centre will extend complete cooperation to both the Telugu States.
Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad informed separate High Courts for Telugu States will be a reality if the temporary structures in AP gets completed. 'Joint High Court in Hyderabad will become Telangana High Court. Appointment of Judges will be decided by Supreme Court & High Court collegium. Until then, Both the Governments will have to be patient,' he opined.
Jithendar Reddy welcomed the statement made by Law Minister and thanked AP CM for shifting the High Court.
