The much-talked-about Hijab controversy reached the Karnataka High Court and the court heard the bunch of petitions that were filed over the issue. Hearing the petitions, the High Court had issued some key orders to the educational institutions in the state.

The High Court directed the educational institutions to reopen while asking the establishments to not ask students to wear something religious till the issue gets addressed.

While posting the next hearing to Monday, the bench of judges that heard the petition is also said to have asked the media outlets to not mention the oral observations made during the arguments and asked the media to let the court make the final judgment.

Hijab controversy erupted when a few Muslim students were asked by the educational institutions to not wear a hijab while coming to educational institutions. They were asked to follow the uniform while attending the institutions.

However, the students said that they cannot follow the rule and started protesting against it. Joining the force, Hindu students started protesting against Muslim students wearing hijab to colleges.
