The rumour mill in AP has gone into a tizzy with the stories that AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's uncle and Minister for Forests Balineni Srinivasa Reddy is mightily upset. He has left his district and is currently in Hyderabad for over a week. If sources are to be believed, he is not communicating with anyone in the party.
Balineni is considered a strong leader in Prakasam district and is handling key departments like power and forests. He was also considered quite close to YS Jagan. In fact, he was among the first to leak info to the media about the cabinet reshuffle. He had also staunchly supported the proposed reshuffle and said that he did not mind even if he loses his minister's post
He recently had a meeting with YS Jagan at Tadepalli. Sources say that Jagan told him that he cannot have two ministers from Prakasam district and that he has decided to keep Adimulapu Suresh as a minister. This, according to sources, has hurt Balineni most. Balineni is the senior minister and is a YSRCP loyalist. He has been associated with the party from the beginning. That being the case, keeping him out and keeping Suresh in was not palatable to him, say sources.
He felt that if Jagan wants to remove, he should remove both the ministers. But, keeping one and removing another would create an imbalance, he feels. Since then, he has moved to Hyderabad and has begun staying there. He is not available in Prakasam district. He has also not visited Tadepalli after this meet with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
