M Sumalatha (W/o Manje Gowda) studied upto 8th Standard and she hails from KR Pete. P Sumalatha (W/o Darshan) is an MSc from Kanakapura. Another Sumalatha (W/o Sidde Gowda) who passed 7th Standard is from Mandya.
When quizzed about three namesakes contesting against her, Sumalatha told: 'I was informed by few people about such tactics a month ago. When they advised Me to adopt similar strategy to hurt the poll prospects of the opponent, I turned down the proposal. Such attempts are an indication of fear. They [Congress-JD (S)] seem to be lacking the courage for a straight fight'.
This election won't be a cakewalk for CM HD Kumaraswamy's Son Nikhil Gowda no matter how many tactics JD (S) might play. Sumalatha is going to make him strive hard for every single vote.
