Gavaskar Have No Time For Imran Khan

Update: 2018-08-12 09:54 GMT
Sunil Gavaskar turned down the invitation of Prime Minister-elect Imran Khan for his swearing-in ceremony on August 18th.

In fact, Imran Khan inquired with Sunil Gavaskar whether he will be able to make it to his oath-taking ceremony. The Legendary Indian Batsman spoke to Imran Khan over phone and conveyed he can't attend the swearing-in ceremony due to his prior commitment as commentator for ongoing India Vs England Test Series. He, however, extended his best wishes to the former Pakistan Skipper.

Gavaskar feels Imran Khan becoming Pak PM is a huge moment for cricket fraternity. He says, Imran is the only Pak PM who spent a lot of time in India. I hope his approach towards India will be different from other Pak PM.

Imran Khan had also invited former Indian cricketers Kapil Dev and Navjot Singh Singh for the special occasion. They both have accepted the invitations and waiting for the clearance from the Indian Government.

Whether or not Aamir Khan will accept the invitation of Imran Khan is still a big mystery.
