BJP fielded Bollywood Actor Sunny Deol as the MP Candidate in Punjab's Gurdaspur Constituency. Raj Kumar, who is the Congress Candidate from Hoshiarpur, made interesting comments on the Film Actor.
At a recent rally, Raj Kumar mocked Narendra Modi-led NDA Government saying BJP couldn't find candidates for even the 3 MP Seats it's contesting in Punjab and that is why Sunny Deol is being chosen for Gurdaspur. 'Whether if its Sunny Deol or Sunny Leone, BJP will be losing due to the Congress wave,' he declared.
On the other hand, Congress Candidate for Gurdaspur Sunil Jakhar asked if Sunny Deol knew anything about the constituency from where he is contesting. He went on to say Mr.Deol is only uttering filmy dialogues during his election campaigning.
Yesteryear Actor Vinod Khanna was elected as Gurdaspur MP in 2014. After his demise in 2017, Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar won in the by-election. Will he retain his seat by defeating Sunny Deol in 2019 polls?
