Superstar Krishna on Thursday heaped praises on Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for proposing to built a Cine City in Hyderabad. "Its a proposal that need to be welcomed and I wholeheartedly appreciate KCR for making efforts to develop Film Industry on par with Hollywood standards. I my opinion, The Cine City should be named after KCR so that the future generations will remember his invaluable services," he told.
Reportedly, Padmalaya Studios has been under the scanner of TRS Government for allegedly using a portion of the land allotted by Film Industry development for other purposes. Were Krishna's comments meant to win the heart of KCR or it should be seen as just mere appreciation for the steps taken by the new government to develop TFI?
KCR's stand on land encroachments in Hyderabad, especially Nagarjuna's N-Convention Centre issue, has sent a strong message to the Film Industry. Tollywood personalities were of the feeling its better to walk with KCR instead of going against him as moving Industry to AP would take many years.
