Update: 2017-07-06 15:27 GMT
YSR Congress Legislator RK Roja has been suspended from Andhra Pradesh Assembly for allegedly using objectionable language & making unacceptable gestures. The one year suspension has been prolonged to 2 years after the MLA failed to offer unconditional apology to the House & State Government.

The petition moved by Roja's Counsel in Supreme Court regarding Suspension has come up for hearing Today. Apex Court, however, refused to intervene on grounds that the case is still pending in Hyderabad High Court. When her Lawyers sought revoking of suspension by informing that Roja has already issued an apology, SC suggested them to settle the matter in High Court itself.

On the other hand, The Counsel representing State Government told SC that they were yet to receive apology letter from Roja. When SC asked Roja's Lawyers whether the letter could be produced in the court immediately, They informed that it will be submit in High Court soon. Supreme Court suggested the Lawyers to send the apology letter to concerned officials and departments before. The Top Court made it clear it will take over the case until HC issues its final verdict.
