SC Asks Rajini's Wife To Face Trial For Fraud

Update: 2018-07-10 16:30 GMT
The Supreme Court on Tuesday maintained Rajinikanth's Wife Latha should face trial in a fraud case after failing to settle dues to the tune of Rs 6.20 crore for Advertising Company Ad Bureau.

Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd for which Latha Rajinikanth was the Director obtained loan of Rs 10 crore from Ad Bureau in 2014 for the movie 'Kochadaiyaan' (Vikram Simha) directed by her younger daughter Soundarya. An agreement was reached that Rs 1.2 crore guaranteed profit will be paid along with Rs 10 crore.  As the agreement wasn't honoured by Latha Rajinikanth, Ad Bureau moved court alleging dues of Rs 6.2 crore were yet to be paid.

In February, Supreme Court ordered Latha Rajinikanth to pay the dues within three months. However, Superstar's Family hasn't made the payment so far. The Apex Court asked Rajini's Wife to face the trail for neglecting it's order.

'Kochadaiyaan' will be a forgettable film for Rajinikanth in many ways. He is still facing the after-effects on this disastrous flick.
