Breaking: Suresh Raina, Singer Guru Randhawa And Others Arrested In Mumbai

In what it could be a shocker, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina who recently announced his retirement, and Singer Guru Randhawa and others were arrested in Mumbai after a raid.

According to the Mumbai Police, the raid took place at the Mumbai Dragonfly club near the Mumbai airport. All 34 people, including Raina and Singer Guru Randhawa, were arrested for violating the Covid-19 norms.

The accused who were booked on the grounds of violating the Covid-19 norms in the financial capital Mumbai were released on bail later.

Cases were booked on the accused under the Indian Penal Code(IPC) sections of 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (whoever unlawfully or negligently does any act which is, and which he knows or has reason to believe to be, likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life), and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

The cops conducted raids at the Dragonfly pub near Mumbai Airport after they received information on the establishment kept open even after the time limit given for it to operate.

It has to be noted that, the other day Maharashtra government led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has decided to impose a night curfew in the state as a precautionary measure after a new strain of Covid-19 surfaced in Britain.
