Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP), the new party floated by former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy failed to impress the leaders. While many questioned the very need for floating a political party for a united state after state division, others doubted how long it would last.
Now once again the party received a major blow ant four of its MLA candidates jumped into TDP. Four of its MLA candidates from Guntur Bulusu Satya Reddy (Macherla), Kola Appi Reddy (Gurajala), M.Anjaneyulu (Chilakaluripeta) and Ramesh Babu Vinukonda withdrew from the fray and joined Telugu Desam Party in the presence of Narasaraopeta MP candidate, Rayapati Samba Siva Rao. . This development is expected to become a major plus for Telugu Desam Party both for MLA segments and Narasaraopeta MP Segment.
JSP has entered into an electoral alliance with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Seemandhra. It has allotted 18 assembly and two Lok Sabha constituencies for the CPI-M.Its known that Former chief minister and Jai Samaikyandhra Party president N Kiran Kumar Reddy has opted out of contest in the elections now if sources to be believed he has also decided to quit politics altogether.
