Sushant Singh Case: Defamation case filed against Arnab Goswami and others!

Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami faced a rude shock after Mumbai Police's Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimukhe ha filed a defamation case in a much-talked-about case.

According to the media reports, the Deputy Police Commissioner filed a defamation case against Arnab Goswami, his wife Samyabrat Ray Goswami, and ARG Outlier Media Pvt Ltd that owns Republic TV, in connection with Sushant Singh's case.

It has been widely reported that in the case filed by Deputy CP, he alleged that Arnab Goswami made defamatory remarks against him while covering the news of Sushant Singh Rajput.

In the complaint filed by his counsel, the Deputy CP claimed that a discussion panel carried out in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, Arnab Goswami made defamatory comments. According to him, the show was aired on YouTube on the 7th of August, 2020.

The case has been registered on Arnab and others under sections 499 (defamation), 500 (punishment for defamation), and 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) of the Indian Penal Code.

Tracing back the sad news of Sushant Singh Rajput's case, the actor was found dead at his residence in Bandra. The postmortem reports said the actor lost his life with asphyxia, caused by hanging from the ceiling fan.
