The Swachh Bharat assessment taken up by Union Urban Dovelopment Ministry under the National Sanitation Policy 2008 covered about 30 cities in AP and 11 in Telangana.
In the league of 476 Class 1 Cities with population of one lakh & above, Warangal (33) is the only city in Telugu States to feature in the Top 50 list.
Nizamabad, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Adilabad were ranked 82, 191, 275 and 349 respectively.
Coming to AP, Three Cities made it to the Top 100 list. Vizianagaram, Narsaraopet and Guntur were ranked 58, 59, 70 respectively. Balakrishna's constituency Hindupur stood at 457th spot in the rankings.
