Update: 2020-08-03 12:10 GMT
Days after the Centre introduced a new National Education Policy for providing a comprehensive framework in regard to the schools as well as the highest education faced a shock.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami maintained that the state cannot implement the New Education policy which deals with three-language policy and said the existing two language policy will only be followed.

Some media reports claim that he termed the new National Education as painful as the said PM Modi should once again think about the new policy and leave the option to observe their policies to the states.

Palaniswami issued an official statement in regard to the new educational policy in which he maintained Tamil Nadu will go ahead with the existing two language policy and will not implement the new three-language policy.

Tamil Nadu is maintaining its strong stand on opposing the Hindi opposition irrespective of the government that is in power in the state. The previous Chief Ministers too raised their voice against imposing Hindi in the state.
