In what it could be a shocker, as many as 84 staff members working at Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan tested positive for the virus, which left the fellow staffers in a state of panic.
Following this, the staff members were advised to observe lazaretto to contain the fatal virus. The authorities have been spraying disinfected liquid on the premises of Raj Bhavan.
It has been reported that the staffers and security personal who contacted the virus did not come in contact with Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit. This news gave a sigh of relief to the officers.
Looking at the cases in the state, Tamil Nadu added a record 5,849 fresh infections in the last 24 hours which takes the count of the total cases of the virus in the state to 1,86,492.
With 74 people succumbing to the contagious disease, the total casualties in connection with the dreaded virus zoomed to 3,144.
