TDP's BCs First Upsets Others In Nellore

Update: 2020-11-09 03:38 GMT
The TDP's newfound love for the BCs is proving counter-productive. The TDP, which was rattled by the YSRCP's master move of creating 52 BC corporations and appointing 53 BC leaders to head these corporations, has appointed more BCs in the party state committee.  In Nellore however, this plan seems to be boomeranging as Reddys, who remained with the party through the thick and thin are sulking.

Already former minister Tallapaka Ramesh Reddy, state vice-president Tallapaka Anuradha have sent in their resignations to the party. The couple have been with the TDP since 1982 and Reddy was in fact the president of all-India NTR fans association.  They remained in the party even when the party was out of power. In fact, even after the stunning defeat in 2019, they have been organising programmes for the TRS.

They are deeply upset that those who have insulted and opposed the TDP and those who had burnt late NTR in effigy were being given key party positions. Another senior leader – Anam Jayakumar Reddy – too is sulking. He is upset that the party has completely ignored. If sources are to be believed, he might leave the party sooner than later.  Another key leader K Venkata Swamy Naidu too is unhappy with the party leadership's decision.
