Several senior BJP leaders in AP, who came from other parties, are deeply dissatisfied with AP BJP co-incharge Sunil Deodhar's style of functioning. They are said to be planning to lodge a complaint with BJPâs key leader Amit Shah and organising secretary BL Santosh. The seniors are said to be upset with Sunil's recent comments on them.
Recently addressing a party meeting, he said some leaders from other parties were using the BJP as a parking zone. He said that these leaders were only biding their time in the party and that they would fly off to their parent party once the winds blew the other way. This comment clearly was directed against the leaders like Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh and TG Venkatesh, who came from the TDP.
According to highly placed sources, these and several other leaders recently met via video-conference and discussed the issue. They felt that if Sunil Deodhar was not immediately removed, no leader from other parties would come and join the BJP. Some leaders even went to the extent of calling for a press conference. However, they decided against the advice of the others. These leaders are also unhappy that neither national chief JP Nadda nor state chief Somu Veerraju responded to their complaints.
The seniors feel that state organising secretary Mahukar Reddy too is not paying any heed to them. They feel that both Sunil Deodhar and Madhukar Reddy should be removed to attract talent from other parties. They are of the opinion that Sunil-Madhukar- Somu Veerraju-GvL Narasimha Rao combine is completely controlling the party, which is prving detrimental to the party.
