TDP MP CM Ramesh has come down heavily on Chiranjeevi and few other Congress MPs for not attending Rajya Sabha during the discussion on Special Category Status. He expressed his displeasure over the fact that no voting has taken place on KVP Ramachandra Rao's Private Members Bill seeking Special Status.
On the other hand, Union Minister Sujana Chowdary alleged that Congress and YSR Congress lacked commitment towards Special Category Status. He accused neither Congress nor YSRC mounted pressure even though there is a possibility of voting. He also told blunders in AP Reorganization Act 2014 have been the sole reason for the dire state and blamed Congress for it.
Sujana Chowdary claimed to be hopeful of receiving a favorable decision from Centre by next week. He told, 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in touch with all the departments to do justice to AP. CM Chandrababu Naidu will resolve all the issues. People of AP will have to be patient for some more time'.
