Telugu Desam Party MPs have decided to disrupt the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings to let the Central Government know that People of Andhra Pradesh are highly unhappy with them.
After showing placards in the Lok Sabha house, the house has been adjourned to Tuesday after expressing condolences to Hukum Singh, who died recently.
After that, TDP MPs stood near the Gandhi statue with placards saying, "Save, Andhra Pradesh!"
MP Siva Prasad talked to press and said, "Nara Chandrababu Naidu is patient with the Government and asked us to let them know how disappointed we and AP people are. Modi and BJP leaders have promised so much for our newly formed state but they did nothing in for us. Everything will have time and if BJP is taking us, TDP and Telugu people for granted, then it is a war declaration against Andhra Pradesh people. TDP under Chandra Babu will show BJP how serious we are and if they take us for granted and not answer our queries to help build the state, they will definitely have to face the wrath of people and TDP in the war!"
Well, senior leaders like KVP Ramachandra Rao and YSCRP Congress MPs, went to the podium with placards of Save Andhra Pradesh and Congress state MPs too followed them.
Unable to go ahead with the proceedings in Rajya Sabha, Vice president and Chairman, Venkayya Naidu lost his cool and asked KVP to return to his seat. As the protests intensified about the rise in petrol rates too, he asked KVP to stop acquiring publicity on the issue. He did not give much time for protestors to put their word forward and adjourned the Rajya Sabha to 2 o' clock in the afternoon.
