On Tuesday, Finance Minister announced 'Annadata Sukhibhava' scheme for the direct cash transfer scheme to implemented in the best interest of farmers. This Welfare Scheme turned out to be a poor imitation of TRS Governmentâs Rythu Bandhu.
Telangana Government offered Rs 8,000 per acre for all the 58.30 lakh farmers under Rythu Bandhu Scheme. As per the poll promise, KCR decided to offer Rs 10,000 per acre annually to the farmers from this year. Rs 15,000 crore was allocated for this scheme alone in the first budget of TRS second term.
In contrast, TDP Government allotted only Rs 5,000 crore for 'Annadata Sukhibava' for the year 2019-20. AP Population is more than that of Telangana and even count of farmers is certainly more. Then, How can allocation of Rs 5,000 crore will be sufficient if TDP Government wishes to pay Rs 8,000 per acre or 10,000 per acre?
CM Chandrababu Naidu doesnât want to include Rich Farmers in the list of beneficiaries. Which means, Farmers having agriculture land in excess of 5 acres mayn't receive any benefit from 'Annadata Sukhibhava'.
