For the TDP, 2024 elections are going to be make-or-break elections. If the party loses in 2024, it may very well pass into history. Hence TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is working hard to revive the party and ensure that it wins the 2024 elections. But the behaviour of some TDP leaders is turning out to be a major problem for the TDP.
There are allegations that some TDP leaders are resorting to two-timing. They are busy in the TDP, but are also in touch with the YSRCP leaders. Thus they are leaking information about the TDP plans to the YSRCP thus enabling it to counter the TDP moves in time.. The loyal section has already lodged complaints about these back-stabbers to Chandrababu Naidu.
This issue came up during the review of Gurazala and Dachepalli municipal elections. Speaking on the occasion, former MLA Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao said that some leaders were leaking information to the YSRCP. He advised them to desist from doing so.
Meanwhile, former Minister KS Jawahar said in an interview that several TDP leaders are in touch with both Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi to protect their interests. He said that such elements must be weeded out.
It is now clear that the TDP has already begun the process of identifying such leaders and sending them out of the TDP.
