Boxing Day Test: India Announces Four New Changes In Playing XI

Team India, which is aiming to avenge the loss it suffered from Australia in the Adelite test, has started focusing on the Boxing day test which will start from Saturday.

The Team India Management has made four changes in the playing XI. While two players were removed from the previous playing XI, two players were given the chance to debut.

Right-handed batsman Shubman Gill got a chance to make his Test debut. He will replace Prithvi Shaw and open the innings for India with Mayank Agarwal.

Coming to the bowling department, Mohammed Siraj, who plays for Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore is all set to make his Test debut. He was taken as the replacement for Mohammed Shami, who was ruled out of the series with a wrist fracture.

In the place of Virat Kohli, who left for India on paternity leave, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was called. Rishabh Pant will be replacing Wriddhiman Saha as the wicket-keeper-batsman.

The acting skipper of the team Ajinkya Rahane will bat at No.4, Virat Kohli's position. With, Ravindra Jadeja coming into the team, KL Rahul was not given a place in the newly announced playing XI.
