Telangana: 14 New Districts & 74 New Mandals!

The committee headed by Telangana Government's Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma submitted its report to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao proposing creation of 14 New Districts and 74 New Mandals in the state.

Members of the Committee explained to KCR in detail about the process of picking up the new districts. They informed CM that Siricilla can't be included as Jagithayala was already chosen as new district in Karimnagar district. On the other hand, Nirmal is being picked up as one of the new Districts. The Committee proposed continuation of Ranga Reddy as a single district, whereas Hyderabad will be made into two districts.

Telangana Government will issue a notification on the delimitation of Districts on August 22nd.

7) Karimnagar

8) Jagithyala

17) Medak

18) Siddipet

19) Nalgonda

20) Suryapet

21) Yadadri

22) Warangal
