After troubling Andhra and Telangana the deadly COVID-19 has started troubling Tamil Nadu too with a teenage boy shifted to a government hospital after he showed some positive symptoms of coronavirus. The boy has arrived in India with his parents.
"The boy, aged 15 years, had landed at Chennai airport on Sunday morning. During the screening, he had shown symptoms of coronavirus infection. He was taken to the government hospital where his blood samples have been taken for tests," a senior Tamil Nadu Health Department official said.
The official added that the medical examination reports will be out on Monday. Meanwhile, the Railways and officials of the state transport department have been instructed to sterilize the coaches and buses to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
This teenage boy marks the second positive case as earlier a 45-year-old man tested positive for coronavirus in Tamil Nadu and was admitted to a government hospital.
It is believed that the government hospitals in Tamil Nadu have adequate Medici al stock and the state has also urged people to avoid unnecessary travel to other countries.
