Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar were disqualified on grounds of inappropriate behaviour in Telangana Assembly during Governor's Address. The Two Legislators carried out hunger strike for 48 hours in Gandhi Bhavan in protest against the disciplinary action.
Alternative arrangements have been done by the Main Opposition to make the TRS Government roll back its decision. Congress Party on Thursday moved a petition in High Court challenging the disqualification. This petition might come up for hearing on Friday.
On the other hand, Congress brought the issue to the notice of Election Commission alleging disqualification has been done by TRS Government deliberately.
Telangana Assembly had already informed Election Commission that by-election will happen in Nalgonda and Alampur Assembly Constituencies. Possibility of conducting the by-poll along with the Karnataka Assembly Polls look bright.
