YSR Congress Party boycotted the Assembly after Telugu Desam lured 23 MLAs and 3 MPs. Jaganmohan Reddy preferred being in public rather than attending the Assembly until he become the Chief Minister. Taking such a stand fetched sympathy for YCP and negative image for TDP. Now, Telangana Congress is likely to follow Jagan's successful model.
The other day, 12 Telangana Congress MLAs moved the proposal of CLP Merger with Ruling TRS. Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who refrained from taking any action against the defectors approved the merger.
Post such a development, Congress Party is in a dilemma whether to attend the Assembly Sessions or boycott it for full term. Majority of the Leaders are of the feeling that what could Congress do in the House with 5 or 6 MLAs.
Instead of attending the House, Congress might prefer boycotting the Sessions so as to send a strong message to the public over the undemocratic practices of the Ruling Party. This approach worked for Jagan...will it fetch good fortune for Congress as well?
