Telangana Chief Minister KCR has urged the citizens of the state to follow lockdown till the 31st of March and not to hit the roads. To clear all the airs on this, Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar called for a press meet.
At the press meet, they said that strict rules will be imposed during the lockdown and those who break the rules will be treated harshly.
"Lockdown will be imposed strictly from Monday afternoon. As the virus is spreading rapidly, people must self-quarantine themselves. Shops that sell essentials will be closed by pm. Police will check every vehicle and the private vehicles should only be used for emergency works," DGP said.
Telangana government has ordered that everyone should be at homes from evening 7 to morning 6. CM KCR said that pregnant women will be given complete care and no need to worry about the situation.
As per the lockdown, people are expected to go to shops and markets only during mornings and that too only a single person should go on a bike. Two people can go by car and public transportation is completely shut down.
