TRS Party promised complete waiver of agriculture loans of the farmers amounting to Rs 17,000 crore during 2014 Election Campaign. This decision is going to benefit as many as 36 lakh farmers in the state.
Already, TRS Government has released first installment (Rs 4,250 crore) and second installment (Rs 4,250 crore) of Farm Loan Waiver.
On Tuesday, State Government has sanctioned Rs 2,019.19 crore under Non-Plan Expenditure as the third installment of Crop Loan Waiver. A GO in this regard has been issued by the Agriculture Department. This move would effectively counter the criticism from Opposition Parties that KCR is wasting money in a name of new structures instead of paying dues of loan waiver.
TRS Government will clear the pending dues before 2019 Polls. Probably, The final settlement to banks would be done in fourth and fifth installment.
