The ongoing difficulties araised between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over water sharing from the common reservoirs are getting intensified day by day. The issue is going through twists and turns.
After accusing other governments of violating the rules, the leaders are now targeting other leaders on personal grounds. The Telangana leaders are making harsh comments on the former Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh YSR and his son Jagan.
TRS leader and Telangana Minister of State for Energy Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy reacted to the water disputes and made sensational comments of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YS Jagan.
Alleging that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan is cheating the public by writing letters to the Centre, the Cabinet Minister said, AP has forgotten the helping land lent by KCR. AP, which is creating issues itself, is asking to settle the scores, which is bizarre, he said.
Adding further, Mr. Reddy said Andhra Pradesh is going ahead with its sole agenda and opined that CM Jagan has surpassed his father in terms of drawing water from the Krishna river.
His comments on YSR came on the lines of TRS leaders, who earlier alleged that he had done injustice to Telangana by diverting more water to the Andhra region during his tenure as CM.
After water sharing, the two states are at loggerheads over Telanagans's plans to generate power at the hydel projects. The AP government has written to the Centre to intervene in the matter.
Despite the Andhra Pradesh government raising several objections to Telangana's works, the government is going ahead with its plan and the power generation works are going on in full swing.
