Shiva Chalapathi Raju, a US-based Software Professional whose name featured in the Green Card backlog, passed away suddenly on Tuesday. As a result, His Pregnant Wife Bobby Sowjanya was rendered out of status and would have to return to India.
Indian Green Card backlog community used hashtags #DurbinWindow and #DurbinOrphan to highlight how another Green Card backlog family was thrown out of United States. Several Indians raised their objection to the Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act 2019.
Mr.Raju worked as a developer client for Oracle in High Point, North Carolina. Before moving to Oracle, He worked for Wipro in Michigan and British Petroleum in Illinois.
In the meantime, The Piedmont Area Telugu Association (PATA) came up with a GoFundMe Page to raise funds of Raju's Family. This Funeral Fundraiser was meant to transport the mortal remains to India as his family wasn't prepared for the high expenditure.
