In a piece of good news, a group of Telugu students who got struct in Italy due to the COVID-19 effect were airlifted from the country successfully and sent to their native places in Andhra Pradesh.
Upon reaching the national capital Delhi, the 33-member student's group was sent to their native place on a bus and they have reached their destination without any problems. Out of them, one person hails from Chattisgarh and four belong to North Andhra.
The bus carrying the group has dropped the Chattisgarh and North Andhra students at their place and the rest of them headed to Vijayawada their native place. They were handed over to their parents after noting down all their details.
As Vijayawada was their last stop, students who belong to Krishna district were sent to a government hospital for medical examinations and students from other places were sent to their places.
All the students were evacuated on a special flight from Milan and shifted to Delhi. After reaching there they have waited 15 days at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP) at the Chhawla camp as the lockdown is active.
