A tense situation aroused in Aatmakur town of Andhra Pradeshâs Nellore district after some miscreants have vandalized the statue of former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
As per the media reports, some miscreants have attacked the statue of late YSR located nearby the Municipality bus stand which resulted in a tense situation in the town.
As soon as the news broke out, the YSRCP activists reached the spot and demanded the police to take action against the people who are behind the attacks.
The YSRCP followers are alleging that the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) is behind the statue vandalism and they did it purposefully to create unrest in Andhra Pradesh.
The cops have registered a case and the investigation is underway. They are probing into the case with the help of the visuals recorded in the CCTV that was set up near the statue.
